The economic outlook for wind power generation in Costa Rica is becoming more promising. Domestic and foreign businessmen show interest in developing wind farms, a segment that currently generates only 5% of all renewable energy produced.
Costa Rica’s predominant renewable hydrothermal is complimented by wind power generation. The wind season peaks exactly when the rain does. The environmental and economic feasibly has prompted $400 million plus in current wind power developments.
